November 28, 2007 Meeting

- Call
to order
- Ethics
commission – discussed Gary Peeples from the Tigers was ejected in the final
playoff game. He must sit out the
first game of the 2008 season
- Finance
report from the Treasurer – Started the year with $4,000 and will end the
year with about $9,000. A vote was
taken and the Treasurers report was accepted – Vote of 11 for and 0
against
- Comments
on 2007 – consensus was that the season was successful
- Old
business
- 25/35
league discussion ensued

Motion (and second) to keep the age requirement at 28+
as it currently stands – failed to pass – Vote of 3 for and 7 against
ii.
Motion (and second) to change the age requirement to
25+ - Passed – Vote 8 for and 2 against
- 35+ news – Clair is resigning from running the
league. We discussed that we
should try and keep the 35+ league going.
The league officers are going to meet to discuss the matter and if
we as a league can take over the administration of this league along with
the responsibilities for the 25+ league.
- Motion
(and second) to restrict anyone from playing in both the Twilight league
and the 25+ league at the same time – failed to pass – Vote 1 for and 10
against.
- Motion
(and second) to keep the Twilight league rule as it currently is – Passed
– Vote 7 for, 2 against and 2 abstained.
- No
other old business was discussed

Business – discussions only
- # of
games for 2008 season – would like to increase the games played so that
each team will their division rivals 2 times and the other division teams
will be played 1 time.
- Waivers/fees
– new players – acceptance of waiver if shown to opposing manager and if
$50 fee is submitted to the league within 1 week
- Roster
limit of 18 – why? Is there any
reason for it not to be unlimited.
- Rule
changes for this year? Any? Please consider and submit ideas for
the upcoming meetings.
- Ump
fees – significant increases to 75 plate / 73 base for 9 innings and 60
plate / 58 base for 7 innings (almost a 40% increase from prior year)
